PAPER VESSEL
SPRING 2021 PROFESSOR MELISSA HUTCHINSON
At the beginning of this project I was given a starfruit. Using the fruit as inspiration, I was tasked with producing a series of orthographic drawings documenting the fruit. In addition to the technical drawings I was also asked to create a series of abstractions focusing on geometries present in the fruit. This inspired a paper vessel using the abstracted geometries.

Modular Display for Vessels
In a subsequent project I was tasked with designing a display for the paper vessel. The form of my display is a simple pentagon module. When combined with other modules a natural form is created allowing the configurer the ability to arrange the modules in a way that best serves them. To expand the variety of the configurations I designed the edges of the form to be rounded and joined with an elastic joint creating a greater range of motion than would be possible with a manufactured hinge.
